My Family

My name is Li Hua. I am from a worker's family. There are six people in my family. They are my grandfather, my grandmother, my father, my mother, my sister and I.

Every member in my family works for his or her own trade①. My grandfather and grandmother are peasants. They do farm work every day in my hometown. My father is a senior engineer. He is now working in Africa, helping to build a power station. My mother is a teacher. She teaches English in a middle school. Military training has become the tradition for freshmen. As a high school student, I needed to accept this experience. I was so worried about myself, because I was so afraid of exposing in the strong sun. The first day was hard for me. We stood in the sun, shouting the slogan and moving our bodies. All of us got wet, but we knew we must keep our pace, or we would lag behind. After three days, I learned very fast and became stronger, I would not give up easily. Military training was a valuable experience for me. I made many friends during the ten days. As we were in a team, we got to know each other and cooperated so well. Though it was a little hard for us to do the training, we found our joy and laughed together.

Since I go to high school, I am so excited about English class, because we have a foreign teacher, whose name is Paul. Paul likes to share funny things about how foreigners think about China. The way he talks makes us laugh out loudly. I learn that a lot of foreigners misunderstand our culture. Before they come to China, all they learn about this big country is from media. I have a dream : I want to be a lawyer .The reason I want to be a lawyer r is I think this profession is very important and meaningful. If I am a lawyer, I will can contribute to maintaining the fairness and justice of society in the form of law:
